Mr. and % Mrs. Joseph E» Fitzgerald, 6458 Paulina st., had a silver wedding anniversary June 26 when they held open house for 40 guests. The following Tuesday evening 18 friends surprised them in their home. Mrs. L. C. Madix and her daughter, Josephine, arranged the event which was attended by Mr. Madix, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Esch, Edward Esch, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. William Tilley, Iona Tilley, Mrs. Bernard Ratasehak, Diana and Pat Rataschak, Mrs. Elizabeth Schill, Mrs. Rose Frale, Margaret Frale and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Whitmore.Mr. Fitzgerald operates his own route in the milk business. He and his wife are Chicagoans, were married here and have lived in Southtown for the past 47 years.
