2 Couples Active After 60 Years' MarriageTlie idea that 60th weddinganniversaries suggest age and inactivity is belied . by two Oakland couples who ob*.served more than six decades of married life in June.They are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tilton of 2232 92nd Ave., who observed their 64th' wedding anniversary on June15, and Mr. and Mrs. William E. Adams of 4319 Gilbert St..who were married 60 years on June 18.Mr. Tilton, at 82, still plies his trade as a cabinet maker and restores antique pieces. Mr. Adams, though sidelinedseveral months by a broken hip, has every intention of getting back to his desk in tile office of his son’s drayage and trucking business, in which he has been associatedsince he quit the contracting business several years ago.Both of the wives also are active. Mrs. Tilton takes care of her home and does the washing and ironing. She and her husband are vegetarians and have not tasted meat in jmore than 40 years. Both are active in the CentralSeventh-day Adventist Church They have three sons, Frank, an artist living in San | Gabriel; Walter, a sergeant and 18-year veteran of t h e Army, stationed at Ft. Knox, Ky.; and De Vonta, superintendent of a cold storage construction firm in Hayward.The Adamses met in gram-Oak (a n b ibunc Tuesday, July 17,1962mar school in Berkeley and have been lifelong residents of the area. Mr. Adams is amember of Berkeley MasonicWomen’s Club. They have a son, Edwin R. Adams, operator of the drayage - trucking firm, and a daughter, Mrs. E.
