1 COUNCIL ACTION BRING FAIR TO ENDRestriction as to Use of Streets Placed on Fair Board at Meeting Held Wednesday Night— Denied Use of Main Street Between Alley North of Fifth and Seventh Streets — Will Kill Fair, is Belief of Board Members — Meeting of Business Men Friday Night.What is to be done about the Del-phos Tri-county fair? J. Clark, president of the fair board, presented a request for the use of the streets as in past years. Mrs. William Scherger and Mrs. Ernest Ford presented the objections of the North Main street lesidents, seating that they were not opposed to the fair but did not want the livestock in front of their homes.A motion was then made by Frank Peiffer that the fair board be granted the use of the streets with the exception of the space between the alley north of Fifth street and Seventh street on Main street.Dr. Clark then spoke for the fair board explaining that the members of the board felt that if they could not have the use of the streets as in the past, the exceptions which are made will establish a precedent which in the opinion of the fair board will ma'ke it impossible to conduct the fail* in the future.
