Mr. and Mrs. Delmer O. SchartigerMr., Mrs. Schartiger honored with 65th anniversary dinnerRIDGELEY, W.Va. - Mr. and Mrs. Delmer 0. Schartiger, Ridgeley, were honored recently with a family dinner on the occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary.The couple was married June 24, 1925, in Cumberland, Md. The Rev. Paul Blakely, a United Brethern minister, was the officiating clergyman. Both are natives of Grant County.Mrs. Schartiger is the former Lena Mae Feaster. Mr Schartiger was employed with Kelly-Springfield Tire Company for 20 years and was owner andoperator of Schartiger’s Grocery in Ridgeley for 14 years. He is a retired custodian for the Mineral County Board of Education. Residents of Ridgeley since 1925, the couple are members of Holy Cross United Methodist Church, Carpendale.Mr. and Mrs. Schartiger are the parents of two children, Doris V. Herbaugh, Ridgeley, and John D. Schartiger, Cumberland. They also have three grandchildren, one stepgrand-daughter, six great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.
