2 4 Rural SchoolDistricts Will BeDenied State AidttctliSHERMAN.—Twenty-four of the county’s 98 common system rural schools will this year be denied both state transportation and tuition aid, as tax levies in these districts are too low to qualify, County Supt. E. A. Miller said Saturday.He said districts deprived of state moneys would feel the loss heavily. To qualify, a district must have a 50 cent maintenance or a joint 75 cent bond and maintenance tax.Schools to lose state aid unless they vote higher local tax levies are: Cannon, Cold Springs, Jamison, Farmington, Emberson Chapel, Barron, Dawkins, Elm View, Luella, Canaan, Providence, Thompsonville, Choctaw, Pleasant Valley, Pecan Grove, Nance Prairie, Greystone, Oak Grove, Ellsworth, Shiloh, Mill Springs, Eureka, Skaggs and White Rock (negro) school.The Grayson County school board of trustees is to meet at 2 p. m. Monday, July 19, at the office of Mr. Miller to discuss school school problems.»»
