Richard W. CousinsMEADVILLE - Richard Wesley Cousins, 62, of Meadville RD 4, died Tuesday in the Meadville Spencer Hospital.Friends will be received at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Thomas Funka will conduct services from the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sharon.Mr. Cousins was born Sept. 7, 1919 at Edenburg, Pa., son of Joseph A. and Jessie (Beck) Cousins. He was married to the former Alice Fiscus in 1943, shesurvives.He was a graduate of Sharon High School and received his degree in engineering from Tri-State University in Angola, Ind. He served as a First Lieutenant with the 84th Air Force in England during World War II and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Meadville.He was manager of the engineering department of GTI Corp. plant at Mercer County and had just been named vice-president of special projects for GTI Corp. in San Diego.Mr. Cousins had also been employed at Airco Greenville and Kaiser Electric at Bristol.Other survivors are a son Gary of Reynoldsville; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mimi) Thompson of Conneautville and Mrs. David (Mary Lee) Wilson of DuBois; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Neva) Chismar of Blooming Valley, Pa., Mrs. Oscar (Helen) Bishop of Hermitage, Pa. and Mrs. Lawrence (Jessie) Newberry of Lake City, Pa.; three brothers, Dr. James Cousins of Mt. Hope, Pa., Rev. William Cousins of Cleveland and Joseph Cousins of Mesa, Ohio; five grandchildren.The family suggests memorials may be made to the Spencer Hospital or the Grace United Methodist Church in Meadville.
