Lokens-gard held this office for approximately 30 years during which time he was also elected as justice of Uic peace.He ran for the office of city treasurer in 1947 as a Republican, [but was defeated. He then worked as a bookkeeper in the city water department until April, 3950, when he became the night clerk at the Kalispell Hotel.On April 1, 1052, lie was appointed to fill tlie unexpired term of William H.
