After their marriage they came to America, settling in Illinois where he worked a short time as a farmhand before coming to Remsen to buy and work afarm. . ^Their children are Emil Staab, August Staab and Mrs. Sam Pet-roff of Remsen; Paul Staab and Mrs. Lawrence Haubert of Pipestone, Minn., and Louis Staab, Le* Mars.
