ANNIVERSARIES^^^^â– IRLEY NABOZNYIN 1957 AND NOWThomas and Shirley NaboznyThomas and Shirley Nabozny celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 4, 2007, with a renewal of their wedding vows at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in the Foothills. In June, their children surprised them with an anniversary party. .Shirley Jordan married Thomas Nabozny on May 4,1957, in Amsterdam, N.Y. Tom was stationed at Headquarters Marine Corps and Shirley worked as a secretary for the Department of the Navy. The Marine Corps brought them to Marine Corps Air StationYuma in 1972, and they have resided here since. After Tom retired, he worked for Yuma County Special Olympics and purchasing/contracting at Yuma Proving Ground. After their children were raised, Shirley also worked at YPG as a secretary. They are now both retired.The couple have four children: Ed (Norma) Nabozny, Patty Nabozny, Terry (Al) Schutt and Cathy Nabozny. They have eight grandchildren: Richard, Anastasia, Robert, James, Jonathan, Timothy, Christopher and Kapiolani.
