Q-. GroonMr. and Mrs. J. G. Groon were honored on their golden wedding anniversary Tuesday, July 4, when their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Art Abraham, of UOtJ’ Market street, Sioux City, were hosts at a family dinner party. Mr. und Mrs. Groon were married July 4, 1900, and were residents of Union county, S. D., until they moved to Akron four years ago.Ah open house was held in the Union Creek Lutheran church parlors, northwest of Akron, Sunday, July 9, from 2:00 until 6:00 p. m., in observance of their anniversary, where a large group of friends and relatives gathered to offer congratulations and wishes for many more years of happy companionship. Mr. and Mrs. Groon have one son, Clifford, northwest of Akron, the daughter, Mrs: Abraham, and nine grandchildren.Relatives and friends who came from a distance to assist in honoring Mr. and Mrs. Groon were: Mr. and Mrs. Gil.
