And the farmers for miles aroirnd lt;. amein with their families, making the day a sort of holiday. Everybody had a good time. Young farmers with their best girl triends walked the streets, bought toy balloons, ate peanuts and went to the show. The crowd was a tired one last evening, but it was h ippy.The street ears were unable to liaudle the heavy traffic, but the work they cud was remarkable. Yery few kicks v lt;re heard, and with but little delay e\ei/ body got a ride to and from the grounds.Buffalo Bill was with his show He rode in a carri.ige at the head of the parade, which started a little before JO o’clock from the grounds. Tins p.srade was strictly a representative of the show. Two peiT-)rm-anees were given, and both were fleeted with immense audiences. Col Cody introduced his congress of rough riders. There were American Indians, South American Oaucos, Russian Cossack-, Mexican cowboys, Cuban V'dnnte:u, United States Cavalry, German Gren l-diers, Royal Irish Lancers and many other ridel's. The Cuban patriots and United States troops were greeted with great applause, and every act of the show was given applause.The great value of Buffalo Bill’s show is its realistic portrayal of actual conditions and facts. There are no freaky no monstrosities, 1 ut times and conditions are reproduced with au accuracy that gives it historical value. Colonel Cody directed the whole performance and also gave an evhibitiou of his remarkable skill as a marksman.
