In *873 he t ame with the wave of west ern imitation to Texas, landing at Helton. After reading lor a year, in 1H75 he returned to his native state and graduated with honor from the Kentucky school of medicine. He y turned to Lockhart where he beijjJ the practice of his profession, tnary and has since that time been emi# iy successful. He has now a f drugstore, is quite a landed prop! and divides his time, when not \ iessionly engaged, in looking aftt* varied interest.
