Sandy Lake couple to be honoredA 50th wedding anniversary celebration for Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Ackerman will be held on Sunday. July 13, from 2 to 5 p m at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Raymond of Mill Street in Sandy Lake.Wilbur and Ruth Ackerman were married July 10, 1930 at the rectory of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Stoneboro. A native of the Lakeview area, Ackerman was a son of the late Mr and Mrs. A. W. Ackerman. Mrs. Ackerman is from Homestead in Pittsburgh.The couple has one daughter, Marjorie; one grandson, Brian Raymond, and two great-grandchildren.Sunday’s reception is open to all friends and relatives of the honorees. The family requests that gifts please be omitted.
