A. summer camp, unci how he tell whiJe making an attempt to get back on the truck and suffered injuries which caused hts death, was told by several ot his companions at a, coronet's ialt;iuest Saturday afternoon. The accident happened Thursday afternoon a short distance west of Buffalo andSchroeder died that night.Six boys and young men who were at the camp were caiied as witnesses, and tive^ ot these were on the truck at the time ot the fatal accident, However, no ooe saw Schroeder fall, ami only one ot the boys was able to give an explanation ot how the accident happened-Saw Leader Fall*He was Charles White, 17, ?31 £ .West Second btreet, who testified that he Saw Sehcoeder jump from the moving truck, mn beside it for a short distance and then try to grasp a bar on the truck body. He attempted to reach the ban 4,hrnged” was the word White used, missed it and fell. The ■witness said he did not touch the truck, nor did the truck strike him as he fell.Ralph Poster 19, assistant physical director of the Moline Y. Al.C. A*, was on the truck, riding onthe running board on the left sidewhen the accident occurred, lie and Richard Itamser, 24, 1222 Nineteenth street, ftoek island, boy a- work secertary at the Davenport Y. A., testified that they vere positive Scbroeder knew 01 the order prohibiting any one from getting on or otf the camp truck while it was in motion. .Both sajd Sclnoeder was present when the order was issued al the first sessioft of camp.Driver Testifies.Tom Pappas, 18, 32yt,lt;, West Sec* ond street, another camp leader, got off Hie truck aod ’was running ahead when the accident happened, Pappas aid he toid the driver, Robert Ixmfek, 1-5, 1902 Grand avenue, that he wanted to off and Loufefe slowed the truck down to ahout five miles an hour whilePappus stepped off- Loufek declared he was driving about* 12 to 15 miles an hour when he felt th$ truck jar and stopped. The Jar was caused by Uie rear wheel run* ninfi over Schroeder*s arm*There were 26 or 27 boys on the truck, Posten testified.Richard Oh welter* Itf, 1627 Thirteenth avenue. Schroeder's ikuil was fractured. Coroner J. D. Cantwell said. The jury returned a verdict which established only th fact that Schroeder came to his death from injuries received when he fell on the pavement while running be* side a tnoving truck.About four-fifths of all the clothe* worn by man are made*of cotton. -
