Elvis and Thelma Mullins celebrate 65th anniversaryA 65th wedding anniversary picnic was held Saturday, June 20,1992, for Elvis and Thelma Mullins. The celebration was held at Thousand Trails Lake Resort on Lake Tawakoni near Point, Texas.Mr. and Mrs. Mullins were married June 11, 1927, at the home of Bro. and Mrs. Gibson at Tuggle Springs, Texas.Attending the picnic wereMr. and Mrs. Mullins’ children, Lillie Ola Shelby and husband Bernard and Martha Ellen Mabry and husband Roy. Also attending were grandchildren Louise Mabry, Carl Shelby and wife Helen, and Donna Kines and husband Howell. Great grandchildren Shelby Wilson, Shane Kines, Amy Phillips, and husband Chuck, Fannie Shelby and Asa Shelby were also in attendance. Great grandchild Justin Shelby attended as well as Mr. Mullins’ brother Dock Mullins and wife Audrey and sister Vera Hope. Mrs. Mullins' sister, Bernice Tate was in attendance. Many nieces, nephews and friends also took part in the festivities.
