D,Krmgjman, assistant director of the Davenport museum, his son, Halsey Krpgaman and Dr. A. C. Noe of Chicago university geology departmentand formerly an instructor in the Burlington Baptist college.Formations in the vicinity are of considerable interest to geologists and some of the finest specimens of the midwest have been found here, Dr. Noe said, before the party left forDavenport last night.Visit Crmpo ParkThey also visited Crapo park, Statepark north of Burlington and Augustawh-re important crinoid formations have been found.The most famous crinoid collection ever discovered in America came from Burlington and vicinity and is at the Smithsonian Institute. His field assistantlamis McCade, accompanied the party,and said that Burlington's limestone deposits are nationally known. He also said that Mr. Wachamuth was known as the country's best authority on the classification of crinoid deposits found here.It is probable that the party will return to this city in the near future to continue their studies of rocks.
