Mr. and Mrs. GlessnerGlessners celebrate 50th anniversaryMr. and Mrs. Theodore “Bud” Glessner of Boswell have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Hoss’s Steak Sea House, Somerset. A surprise card shower was also held by the children.Mr. Glessner and the former Dorothy Everett were married May 3, 1948, in Winchester, Va., by the Rev. William Eisenberg.Mr. Glessner was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Johnstown, son of the late Theodore and Florence (Stevens) Glessner.Mrs. Glessner was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Somerset County, daughter of the late Floyd and Elsie (Miller) Everett.Mr. Glessner is a Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the North Atlantic aboard the destroyer escort The John Powers. He retired from the 36-inch Gautier Division, Bethlehem Steel Corp., with 32 years’ service. Mr. Glessner is a member of Jenner Township Baptist Church.Mrs. Glessner is a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell.The Glessners are the parents of four daughters: Linda, wife of David Countryman, Berlin; Lana, wife of Rick Gaston, Maultrie, Ga.; Lois, wife of Bill Myers Jr., Morgantown, W.Va.; and Cindy Lou, wife of Rick Butler. Somerset.There are nine grandchildren.
