Vivian and Charles Volkart in 1940Vivian and Charles VolkartVivian and Charles VolkartVivian and Charles Volkart of Homewood celebrated their golden wedding anniversary recently at a dinner with family and friends at the Tivoli Restaurant in Chicago Heights.The couple was married June 15,1940, at Elim Lutheran Church in Chicago.Mrs. Volkart is the former Vivian Carlberg.Volkart was retired by Brinks Inc.Mrs. Volkart was retired from Wilton Ent.Children of the couple are Sandra Johnson of Lenexa, Kan.; Robert of Crestwood; and Thomas of Bolingbrook.The couple also has nine grandchildren.
