rPolice reportsA Great Bend man was confined Id county jail on attempted theft charges after being stopped by police shortly before 3 a.m. Monday.Matthew D. Mortimer, 19, B33 lQth. was apprehended at the shop of AJ„ Ferrell Co., 1228 281 By-Pass, after Ferrell reported hearing a prowler. Mortimer was confined on charges of attempting to steal gas. He is being held in lieu of bond.
