50th Wedding AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Ben Shankland of Kendallville observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 28. A family dinner and Open House from 2 until 5 p.m. was held at the home of their son. Dean Shankland, and Mrs. Shankland at Ft. Wayne.Mr. and Mrs. Shankland were married June 30, 1920. Mrs. Shankland was the former Erma Terhune, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Terhune of Carthage. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1915.Attending the observance from the Carthage area were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Terhune and sons, Joe and John, and daughter, Miss Jeannine Ter-hue, of Lapel; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pike; and Mr. and Mrs. Loren White of Greenfield.
