I%5 JJMr. And Mrs. I Observe Theirj The silver anniversary of mar-jriage for Mr. and Mrs Ralph j Lee Heiss, who reside at 812 State St, Manitowoc, was celebrated with a reception between] 2 and 5 o’clock Sunday aftei-j noon at Mel’s Restaurant, 13'i5 Michigan Ave.This occasion for their as-. sociates in organizations to which they belong and for their lelatives and friends was held in Sheboygan. Sunday evening the celebration was continued in Manitowoc with an open- house at their residence.Chief decor was a three-tier ; wedding cake, topped with an i ornament that was used on the , cake for a similar occasion.* when parents of Mrs. Heiss- were celebrants They were the- late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kuhl-t mann It was sent to them fromGermany by the letter's sister, i Silver candlesticks with blue candles, decorated with forget-- me-nots. and arrangements with these flowers, comb'.ned with■ SAeethean roses in a pink• shade, were placed on the silver lace covering m floral motif used over the white linen cloth Other appointments werel m silver to correlate with the25th anniversary.Gifts, many in silver motif..alph Lee Heiss 2 5-Year Eventmonetary presents and numerous greetings were received bythe couple.Those sen'ing as hostesses at the coffee table were Mrs. John Gleich and Mrs. J. L. Cardinaie and those pouring the punch were Mrs. Arno J. Wilke and Mrs William C. Hildebrand. The registration book was in charge of Mrs. Leona HeissAs her corsage, the silver-event bride had a cymbidiumorchid and pink sweetheart roses. Mr. Heiss wore a white carnation boutonniere. Hostesses were given pink carnations; members of the immediate family, tiny pink roses with silver leaves as their mementoes of the event and other guests, silver leaves.Guests greeting the couple came from Parma, Ohio; Waukegan. 111., Man now oc and She-iboygan Falls, besides those 1 from the immediate area.j Before her marriage, performed In the parsonage of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in 1940, the bride was Miss Ida Kuhl-mann.
