VanOsdol rites slatedMrs. Willie Woodson VanOsdol, 78, Brookfield, died Thursday morning at Brookfield.She was the widow of Paul VanOsdol, former circuit judge and commissioner of the Missouri Supreme Court.Mrs. VanOsdol was born Dec. 24,1895 at Millersburg in Boone County, the daughter of William T. and Ida Mary Baumgartner Woodson. She married Mr. VanOsdol on Nov. 15, 1914 at Columbia following her graduation from Stephens College.She was a member of the Christian Churches of Brookfield and Bueklin and the PEO chapters at Bueklin, Brookfield and Jefferson City.Mrs. VanOsdol was a member of Hannah Hull Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at Brookfield and was former state corresponding secretary of the DAR.She was a member of the Missouri Association for Social Welfare, the Bueklin Civic Club and a founding member of the Pershing Park Memorial Foundation.Survivors include: Two sons, Paul VanOsdol Jr., Kansas City, and Woodson VanOsdol, Kensington, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Frost, Florissant, and the Rev. Miss Idalee Woodson, Farmington; a brother, John Woodson, North Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Private funeral services willbe held today in Bueklinwith the Rev. William Schleif-farth officiating. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Brookfield.Memorial contributions have been suggested to the John J. Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield, or other charitable organizations.
