JOthers attending included Congressman Frank Ikard and Judge Graham Purcell of Wichita Falls, President Horace Botkin of the Olney Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Marvin Hickey of Olney and chamber of commerce directors from Olney and Archer City.The transmitter for the station, described as 10 times as powerful as any commercial television transmitter now in use, was designed for the Navy by Radio Corporation of America. The antenna was built by Antenna Systems, Inc , and equipment was installed by Mult routes Corporation Bendix Corporation has the contract for operating the station.Campbell, manager, said four three-man shifts are on duty around the dock at the stationas it transmits its continuous electronic signals.
