Celebration At Hibiya Park SiteBy Pfc LAKEY SAKAMOTO,Staff WriterFifteen thousand holiday pleasure-seekers jammed into Hibiya Park yesterday afternoon to' attend a carnival sponsored by the Bankers’ Club ‘21” through Special Services, Headquarters and Service Group, GHQ. /The merry-go-round of fun with free concessions, vaudeville acts and free cokes provided amusement and enjoyment for all.S/Sgt. Peter Lopez distinguished himself as a carnival barker, shouting information, advice and reenlistment plugs over the irijke.Softball games in the after? noon between GHQ’s Guard company and a Navy team resulted in a win for the soldiers by the score of 10-5. The second game between the Honor Txuards and ATIS gave the nod to the Translators, 5-0.Boxing and judo exhibitions featured at. the Tokyo Bowl were packed With actionl Jose Palaoios, all-Japan lightweight chamjj and Bert Fujii, flyweight winner in the invitational boxing tournament held last month at Yokohama provided a few hints of boxing to the crowd* that packed the bowl.A hog calling contest, hot dogs and movies were all part of the program which attending occupationaires termed a “howling success/*Merrymakers never stopped cutting carnival capers yesterday.
