Jump and Carve-*Ground was Torn Up and Their Weasel Skin Only Gets a Solar Plexis.Saturday evening, up near the BoterIT grocery, at the corner oi Smith and North streets, Charles !arvt r and William Jumper got into an altercation and proceeded to close in on each other at shorl range. Jumper thought he would 'jump Carver and Carver thought lie would carve Jumper. But before either was jumped or hailhcarved, Jumper and Carver foundthemselves ineditatiug on tlio subject of human frailtie s in the custody of tho minions of the law. They will each dance to the tune ot 19.50 this evening on the puncheon cotillion floor of Alavor Brouse. Superintendent Taylor will then shout as one clothe d w ith authority, “Next!” and Zell Raines, tlie old time offender, will stop np andplunk down nine ducats for trying to “put down” the liquor business by other methods than the blanket remonstrance.
