DanJile BfQBtoa.One of the most notable social events that have occurred in Snake Spring township for many years was the Dunkle reunion, held at the home of Jacob Dunkle, of Valley Mill, on June 28- Ninety-two gue6ts, re presenting four generations of this family, were present One of the enjoyable features of the occasion was the feast of good things” which was spread upon ten tables. The Dunkles are among the pioneer settlers of Snake Spring. Jacob Dunkle settled in the valley sixty-four yeara ago. He is a son of David Dunkle, a native of Gernuny-He is one of the most prominent farmers and respected citizens of the township in which he lives. On April 7,1S4Q, he married Mdsb Matilda Lee, daughter of George Lee, of Cumberland Valley. Fourteen children blessed this union, nine of whom arc living.
