Clarice and Joseph TothClarice and Joseph Toth of Arden, N.C., formerly of South Holland, recently celebrated their 50thwedding anniversary with family members.The couple were married Dec. 20, 1944, in Vero Beach, Fla.Toth is retired from the University of Chicago after 33 years of service as a machinist. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Airforce during World War II. He also played baseball in the minor leagues with the Miami Sun Sox.The former Clarice Dodson, Mrs. Toth was employed by the South Holland Trust and Savings Bank for 17 years.The couple are members of the Blue Ridge First Church of God in Black Mountain, N.C.Children of the couple are Vara Winnan of Vernon Hills; Carolyn Crull of Lakeland, Fla.; Cheryl Keller of Naperville; Kevin of DeMotte, Ind.; Ann Bartak of St. Peters, Mo.; and Candace Knol of Crown Point, Ind.The Toths also have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Clarice and Joseph Toth
