Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lehnert of Gonzales recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a reception held at the Green DeWitt Community Center in Gonzales with their eight children and families, including Mr. and Mrs. John Wilkerson of San Antonio, Mr. and Mrs. *n | Edwin Lehnert, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lehnert of Denver City,Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lehnert of Houston, Mr. and Mrs. Luke Taylor of Cuba, N.M., Mr. and Mrs. James Lehnert, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lehnert Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lehnert, all of Gonzales.Decorations carried out the golden anniversary theme. The registry table, laid with a gold cloth, was adorned with the wedding picture of the couple, and a gold candle based in flowers. Miss Cheryl Filip of Cuba, N. M., a granddaughter, registered the guests.Mrs. Lehnert was wearing a gold carnation corsage with gold ribbon and net trim, the other members of the house party wearing corsages of yellow carnations. The men wore yellow boutonnieres.The tea table, laid in beige lace over gold undertone was centered with an arrangement of small and large mums, greenery and gold accents with the numerals “50” also in gold.The cake was a three-tiered confection with pineapple fillingand buttercream frosting, decorated with gold roses, leaves, lovebirds, baby’s breath and gold numerals, accenting the 50th theme.The cake was served along with gold punch from a cut glass container, party mints and salted nuts. Mrs. Nancy Kalibos-sa of San Antonio, Mrs. Bryan Ahlurin and Mrs. Ricky Hanna, both of Denver City, served therefreshments.The bridegroom’s table was also covered with a cloth to accent the chosen theme, and held a German chocolate cake, which was served with nuts, mints, and coffee from a silver service by Laurie Lehnert, Judy and Paula Lehnert.Mrs. Fred Lehnert Jr., and Mrs. James Lehnert presided at the gift table, which was laid with a white linen cloth.Other decorations in the room included an arrangement of gold day lilies placed on the piano with gold candles for accent.
