Nordaune, pastor of the Hayward laith^ran church, and Charles Nelson extended congratulatory wishes to the honored couple. Hen Hridley, along time friend and; j neighbor of the Knudsons, sang. ( “Huilt on a Rock the Church Dothjj Stand,** in the Norwegian language, Chris Skaar, brother In law or Mrs. Knudson, was toastmaster, andjj Mrs. A. Nordaune played the violin ^ acconuianiments when group singIng was enjoyed. tRefreshments were served from ( a table decorated in pastel colors1lt;and bouquets of flowers. A fourtiered wedding cake with pink rosea and gold leaves was the centerpiece. . jCharley Knudson and BUa I^erum; t were married 50 years ago on | March 28. but due to lllnesa of Mrs.' ( Knudson the golden anniversary reception was postponed until July.The wedding was held at the home , of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lerum, and the couplemade their home on a farm in the Oakland community until twelve years ago when they retired and moved U Hayward.1:son. Archie, who livesin l*nvec, was unable to attend the reception, but seven of the Knud-son's nine grandchildren were present.
