AnniversariesErnest and Mary GrecoErnest and Mary Greco of 634 Bryant Ave. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their wedding vows during a family ceremony at St. Patrick Catholic Church on June 17,1989. The Rev. Joy Pazhampassery officiated. The renewal of vows was followed by a reception at the Walla Walla Elks Lodge.The couple’s two sons and their families hosted the celebration attended by 250 guests.The couple’s families were lifelong friends. They were married June 18, 1939, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Mary’s maiden name is Loiancono.Ernest Greco was a tailor at Greco and Sons, a Walla Walla tailor shop and cleaning business, that he was coowner of for 50 years. He retired in 1979. He is a member of Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge. He enjoys growing a vegetable garden and flowers.A homemaker, Mary Greco did the bookkeeping and counter work at Greco’s business for 32 years. She retired in 1979. She enjoys baking and cook-MARY AND ERNEST GRECOing, aquanetics, raising flowers and tatting. She is a member of St. Mary’s Auxiliary and does volunteer work atthe gift shop at St. Mary Medical Center.The Grecos are members of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Walla Walla Senior Citizens Center.They have two sons, Ernest Dale Greco and Bob Greco, both of Spokane; five granddaughters; and two great-grandchi ldren.
