Viator Class ofreceivesThe St. Viator High School Class of 1982graduates were led by Valedictorian Mark Borrelli and Salutatorians Kenneth Iwanskiand Thomas Kurfess at the school’s nineteenthannual commencement exercises on June 6.Borreli, of Mount Prospect, was awardedthe Michigan State University Merit Scholarship, the Rand McNally Co. Scholarship, and the Kemper K. Knapp-Chancellor’s MeritScholarship. He is also an Illinois State Scholar and a National Merit Finalist.Iwanski, of Des Plaines, was awarded theIowa State University Scholastic Award andNorthwest Industrial Scholarship. He is also an Illinois State Scholar.Kurfess, of Barrington, earned the NationalSociety of Professional Engineers Award, theOutstanding Junior Engineering Technical Society Award, and National German Recognition Award. He is an Illinois State Scholar.Kurfess was also awarded the ErdmanAward in recognition of his dedication to the goals and philosophy of St. Viator High School.
