Plainview Will Keep 9 GradesThe County Board of Education quieted fears in the Plainview 01 community in Morgan County when it voted to retain all nine grades at the Plainview School, for the next year. At the same time it chose Malcolm Stephenson to be principal at Eva High School.Supt. Lester E. Wooten revealed today that Stephenson, head of the Massey Elementary School for the past five years, had been selected to succeed J. C. Pettey, who was appointed principal at Morgan County High School, Hartselle. J. B. Warren, a teacher at Morgan County High last year, will take over the principalship at Massey, where his wife, a teacher at Moulton Heights last year, wiU teach.Mr. Stephenson is a graduate of ]\ Danville High School and holds a master’s degree from Peabody College, Nashville.Two coaching changes were, approved by the Board of Education.George Nancarrow has accepted the coaching position at Danville vacated by the resignation of Her-t man Meyers. Mr. Nancarrow has coached for the past five years at Speake High School. He has -an outstanding record at the former location and under his tutelage i i Danville is expected to have an excellent team again this year.Mr. Nancarrow is a native of Jackson County. He finished high school at P'sgah on Sand Mountain, a school r.oted for its good basketball teams.
