Hook axo Stair.—The new Hook and Ladder Co. recently organized will, on Saturday evening, July 3d, at Lytle Scott's Hall, give the citizens j I of Deiuhos, an evening of mirth and frolic. In order that our reader# may understand the object of this benefit we will-ay that the members of this, organization are not chimney hooks, nor pot hooks, nor hook apples, but agenuine arrangement to elevate stairs against a burning building, and hook out furniture, feather beds, looking glasses and children. The make-up ofthe new company is first class. None but men who possessed a combination of nerve and activity were admitted as members, and we predict that theboys will be a valuable acquisition to the Delphos Fire Department. The Hlrai.d trust- that the people of Delphos, who never go back on the boys , or the poor, will in their usual generous sp.rit give the laddies a rousing time, jThe adrnisrion to the Hall will be but Id rents. Ilrfre-hmerit? of every description will be served. The enter-: tainrnent will be interspersed with lively songs and dances by Joe Rippev John Feelv and others. Whole families will be there; also,our mother-in-law. Don’t get left.
