Alford, 70, of 1107 South Hazel, Grove, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday in Grove General hospital.Born Feb. 13,1903, at Lily, S. D., Mr. Alford moved to Grove three years ago from Littleton, Colo. He was employed in the field department of Kanotex Refinery, Arkansas City, Kan., for 20 years and was a member of the Plumbers and Steam-fitters local in Denver, Colo. He was a Baptist.Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Treva Alford, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Newberry of Littleton and Mrs. Ethel Thomas, Brighton, Colo.; one brother, James Alford, San Jose, Calif.: a sister, Mrs. Chester Smith, Yountville, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Worley funeral home chapel. Grove, with the Rev. Bob Mash officiating Final rites will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Littleton with bunal there.
