ALLAN HORNYAK 6-2, 175, guard of BeUaire St. Johns basketball team and the State's top Class AA scorer is only a junior, but this is his third year of varsity basketball.He is a three sports star, having just completed his first season on the gridiron, winning the quarterback position leading the Fighting Irish to a 7-2 record, while hitting on 60 per cent of his passes.He also was a good southpaw baseball pitcher for the high school team last year as a sophomore. A college education or a pro baseball career may loom as Allan's next big decision.He carries an average of between 88-90 so the grades will be no problem for recruiters, Homyak is coached by Sy Kolesza, who says the lad is very popular with his teammates.For the 13 games this season he has 520 points and 40 point average. He had 420 points as a sophomore and 225 during hisfreshman year. Three year totals are 1166 and he still has one and a half years.
