Crew Lake Has Aclive Church For MethodistsCrew Lake Methodist Church wai founded in January 1918, to replace joint services held by Methodists and Baptists. It is sought to stress today that Crew Lake Methodist ! ’Church and Start Methodist are by no means the same.Mrs. Uriah Millsaps donated the land for the Crew Lake church, re-; quiring that it always be called the 'Crew Lake Methodist Church. The present building was erected in 1924 and recently a new educa-tiomal room has been added.From 12 charter members the church has grown to a member-; ship of 164 and with 156 in the Sunday school. Rev. James M ! Poole is the young minister. He 1 is a graduate of Northwestern Staff I and of Chandler school of Theology. I His wife, formerly Miss Retta Strickland of Monroe, is a talented musician.
