sitt.cJ.pPASS CHRISTIAN - Rev. Lucius Cowan, a former resident of Hattiesburg and pastor of the First Methodist Church of Pass Christian for five years, was named the outstanding citizen for 1963 at a dinner Wednesday at the Yacht Club.The honor was given to M r. Cowan because of his work withthe youth and children of the area.Mr. Cowan is the organizer and cubmaster of Pack 315 andrecently received a trophy as the outstanding cubmaster of 1963 in the Gulfport District. He organized and is the adult advisor for the Interact Club, a 1 Rotary-sponsored honor organi- 1 zation for senior high school boys. This is the first and only such club in the state.Mr. Cowan also organized and counsels the Bay St. Louis subdistrict of the MYF. He is president of the Pass Christian Rotary Club and is a member o f the Chamber of Commerce.
