Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Klem-me Celebrate 50th Yearplt;fiauBaivlfcaiMr. and Mrs. A. C. Klemmc celebrated their golden wedding, January 21, 1936. It was held in j*' the Johnson township Lutheran church of which they are members.Mrs. Meyer played a beautiful wedding march, during that time Mr. and Mrs. Klemme took their places in front of the altar. Rev. Meyer gave a talk and a wedding blessing which was followed by a prayer and a song by the people present. Mr. and Mrs. Klemme then stood at the entrance of the church where they received hear-1 ty congratulations, which was followed by a reception in the basement given by the Johnson township' Lutheran ladies’ aid.The table was prettily decorated with gold paper and donned I J! with a beautiful wedding cake and two bouquets of flowers.The cake was baked and presented td them by a close friend, j They were presented with a beau- . tiful bouquet of flowers, consisting of chrysanthemums, roses and pink and whit? carnations from the ladies aid. They also received a lovely bouquet of daffodils from their daughter and son, Mr and Mrs. Matt Koch, also a lovely bouquet of chrysanthemums from their son and daughterin-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Klemme.Amusement was furnished by. , Rev. and Mrs. Meyer, playing a c Suet.',- f--------• 1 ' 1 ‘ifeiScompanied by Mrs. Meyer on the piano. Rev. Meyer furnished the jokes and stories to complete the entertainment.Some friends and relatives sang them a nice German song.The vice president of the ladies aid, Mrs. Meyer, gave a little speech, and followed it by a nice solo on the piano.Only four of their 17 children were there. They were Edwin, Roy, Edith and Eleanora. The rest were kept away because of sickness. There were 10 members of the ladies’ aid there and their families.The relatives present were Emery Klemme and family, Fred Klemme and family, Alfred Klemme and family, Mrs. Anna Klemme and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hinrichs, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Susemihl and family, Miss Lucille Frahm, of Le Mars, Miss Irene Phillips, who is making her home with Klemme’s.The house of “Our Lord” was about half full, despite the cold and baci weather. There were about 80 people present and the evening was spent most joyously.They were presented with several lovely gifts from their chii-dren- . « jft AeFe(
