BOWMAN REACHED HER 99TH YEAR AT MYERSTOWN ,Daily Is Seen in the Store of Her Son, John, and Enjoyed Fine Dinner in Her Honor—Has Been Blind Some Years But Is Ever Cheerful.Myoratown, Pa., January 29, ID27*Mrs. Mary A. Bowman, Myers-town’s oldest resident', on Friday passed her 09th. milestone in llfo. She Is the widow of Moses JC Bowman, who died a number of yearH ago and hiult; lived here practically all of hor life,While nurturing somewhat from ailments Incident to her great ago, Mrs, Bowman is fairly well and yes-torday partook of a hearty dinner. She may bo seen , dally In her accustomed pl-aco, occupying a chair in the store conducted by hor son, John J. Bowman, and always has a pleasant grouting for the patrons of the place.Mrs. Bowman has beon blind for rt number ot years, but this affliction does not bear heavily upon hor, and in epito of it, she has always maintained a cheerful, optimistic spirit.
