Grace Aid Society Marks 40 YearsThe 40th anniversary of the*Ladies Aid society of Grace Lutheran church was celebrated Thursday with a 1 p. m. luncheon at the Avalon hotel.Mrs. Luella Feld hu sen, the newly elected president, extended the greeting. The Rev. j Henry Woyahn, who has been an • adviser of the club throughout the 40 years, was master of ceremonies.Corsages were presented to Mrs, Charles Merten. Mrs, H. F. Merten and Mrs. William Rohde, guests of honor, who have been active members of the society since its organization in 1910. There were eight charter members, all of whom are living.Mrs, Mona Woyahn Schloesscr sang '“Thank God for a Gaidcn and “The Lord is My Shepherd.” : She has been the president of the : society for the past 14 years. She was presented with a gift in appreciation of her services.A reading was given by Mrs. Orlie Smith. Mrs. C. H. Merten gave a historic resume of the work of the society.The program was closed by singing the “Doxology” in unison.Mrs. John Schkolovich, Mrs. O' •'Stuhr and Mrs. Everett Mitchell were in charge of arrangements.
