and his wife. jJudge and Mrs. A. B, Taylor, for-; mer residents of York Who are now residing in California celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage last Wednesday in the First Methodist church in Whittier. Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were hosts at a golden wedding dinner party at which over sixty persons, principally relatives and a few old time friends of Nebraska, . were seated. Judge Arthur G. Wray, formerly of York, acted as toastmaster and Judge Taylor gave an ac j count of their fifty years of married life. The first ten years of their wedded life Judge Taylor taught school, but studied law on the side and at the age of thirty was admitted to the bar. He w-as he first county atorney of Saline county. After practicing law for nine years in Saline county htey moved to York, where Judge Taylor formed a law partnership with Hon. N. V. Harlan. They lived in York fifteen years. Judge Taylor was elected probate judge and served three trms and then was elected to the 1909 session of theNebraska legislature. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor removed to California sixteen years ago, the move being necessitated by failing health of the judge. They are now living at 600 East Turnbull Drive, Whittier.
