Neill-Broom Wedding Is Celebrated in Big SpringIn a double ring service In Big Spring on January 11, Joanne Neill of Big Spring became the bride of Hoy F. Broom Jr. of Wichita Falls.The bride Is th** daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Neill Sr. of Big Spring, and the groom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hoy F. Broom Sr. of Bowie.The ceremony took place In Grace Baptist Church of Big Spring before an archway with greenery and candelabra on either side. Rev. Hoy E. Honei and Rev. E.G. Newcomer officiated at th*' ceremony.Wedding music was performed by Miss Pat Thompson, vocalist, Mrs. John Billings, pianist, ami Miss Kathy Eggleston, organist.Tin bride, given In marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of peau de sole, with lace appliques on the bodice making a scalloped neckline. The appliques were repeated on the floor length skirt, the long chapel train was accented by a bow at theBest man was Jlmn y Lockhart, and groomsr.e'i were Skipper Neill, brother of the bride, and Don Watts. Ushers were Gene l-ockhart of Goa-nnma and Duane Murphree of Big Spring, cousin of the bride.Flower girl was Monica Woods, cousin of the bride, wearing a floor length gown of yellow brocade. Ring bearer was Johnny Mile.The bride's traveling costume was a yellow wool suit with white accessories, and the orchid from the bridal bouquet. The couple will make their home In Memphis.The bride Is a 1966 graduate of Big Spring IllghSchool where she was a member of the choir and Bible club. The groom attended Bowie High School, served In the United States Navy, and Is employed by KBGH Radio Station in Memphis.A reception was held after the wedding at the bride's home. Guests were received by the bride and groom.Refreshments were served from a table covered with a floor length ruffled white organdy cloth, centered by the bride’s cake and milk glass appointments ami candelabra holding yellow tapers.Th** cake was three tiered with columns between layers, covered with white frosting with flowers and bells, and topped with a miniature bride and groom.Mrs. Harry Salyer was In charge of the guest register.Members of the house party were Mrs. Earl Reid, Mrs. Loyd Murphree, Mrs. Elsie Woods, MLss Wanda Ford, Mrs. Mildred Owens, Mrs. Roy Tubb, Mrs. L. V. Wlsek, all of Big Spring, and Mrs. Charles Hodges of Snyder.Serving refreshments were Mrs. Skipper Neill and Miss Karon west.Out of town guests Included Mr. and Mrs. Roy F. Broom, Sr., of Bowie, parents of the groom.
