The remainder 'of ' thevening was given over to dane-\g. with music by a four-piece rchestra. mMr. and’Mrs, Scholz received■flowers, a' purse ol money, a wedding cake made by Mrs. George Jarvis and a plaque, studded with brilliants and Inscribed “Ma and Pop Scholz, 60th wedding anniversary; 1893-1953, the gift of Mr. and Mrs. John Gasale of Brooklyn, IS. Y. Mrs, Scholz also was presented a corsage of orchids. Motion pictures of the reception Were taken.Alfred Scholz, a son o| Mr. Scholz’ brother, the late Emil Scholz, extended the greetings of his branch of the family. A, H. Scholz of Troy, N, Y., Louis Scholz of Adams, Felix and Emil R. Scholz- of Cheshire, sons of the late Paul Scholz. each extended felicitations to their uncle and aunt.For Mrs. Scholz’ side of the family the congratulatory remarks were made by her brothers, Gustave and Reinhardt H, Ernst of Adams and a nephew, Louis Emst' of Trenton, N. J.ried Jan. 28,, 1893 at St. Mark's Episcopal church, of which they are members, and have resided j in Adams since. Mrs. Scholz, the! former Mary Ernst, is 80 years of age. She is extremely active and energetic, does her own housework and takes daily walks. She is a member of Germania lodge, No. 2, O, E. H. S.Mr. Scholz, who retired a year! ago after an active life as aj painter and paper hanger is 85 years of age. He is an enthusiastic--flower grower and -also has as a hobby the raising of chickens and rabbits. He is a member of Einigkelt lodge, No. 2. O. I. H. S. Both are avid pinochle players.They have two children living, Richard, Jr.. of Adams and Miss Marie Scholz who is engaged in secretarial work at San Mateo, Calif., who was here for the anniversary.Among the out-of-town guests were Mrs. Helen Scholz, Brooklyn, N. -Y., Alfred Scholz of Bridgeport. Conn., Mr. and Mrs. Francis Golden of Long Island, N. Y., Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ernst andtheir family of Trenton, N. J., Carl Ernst of New York-city, Mr, and Mrs. A. H. -Scholz of Troy, N.
