Golden Wedding Party PlannedWest Union—Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Herding, Wadena, southeast of West Union, will observe their golden wedding anniversary, Jan. 26, in their home. They will be at home all day to their friends and relatives who wish' to call, and that evening will be guests of honor at a dinner party in the home of their son and wife, Mr,' and Mrs. Arthur Herrling, Jr., of Wadena.Mr. Hejrling moved to the Wadena community at the age of 2 years, with his parents, Mr. andMrs. Christen Herrling. Mrs. Herr* ling is the former Laura .Talcott;daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. -A’ Talcott.They were married at Wadena by the Rev. Mr. Rembold. They have spent their entire married life in the community, with the exception of 2 years at Moravia and Waverly, where Mr. Herrling operated lumber yards.Upon returning to Wadena, Mr. Herrling operated the local hardware store and acted as postmaster for 20 years. After selling the hardware store, Mr. Herrling purchased the Wadena Lumber company, and is still active in this business.The Herrlings have 4 children, Lyle, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Ona Ashley, Siren, Wis.; Mrs. Elizabeth Tynan, Erie, Pa., and Arthur, Jr., Wadena, who is associated with his father in the lumber business; 4 grandchildren.
