Somlt;Tpretty painful in juries were given and received by both parties of combatants, though none were of a fatalnature.There is more or less variation to the various versions of the affair but it seems that Reed and Clint Casto had had a row recently over the latter taking up too much seat room on the traincoming up from Lafayette.It is reported that on Sunday Clint and his brother Ben got to drinking and with others decided to get revenge on Reed; however, “the others** failed to appear on the battlefield.JURY GAVE CARROLL CO. LADY $675A jury at Lafayette last week awarded Mrs. Martha Kenrick of Delphi $675 damages in her suit against Jacob Timmons of Monticello: Mrs. Kenrick wanted $2000 on an assault and battery charge alleged to have been per* petrated u pon her by the defendant last June: most of the newspapers describe the complaint filed in the case as being of an “unprintable nature.**Mr. Timmons testified that the allegation made against him were false; in the course of the trial he admitted having given Mrs. Kenrick a dollar for a kiss,, —certainly a fair enough price
