Meadowridge Welcomes LibraryThe new Meadowridge Branch of the Madison Public Library will be officially welcomed Sunday into the Meadowood, Orchard Hidge, and Greentree neigh-borhoods it will serve.Mrs. Lois Robinson, the branch librarian, is shown with the program for the open house which will last from 1 to 5 p.m. in the new library building at 5722 Raymond lid. in the Meadowood Shopping CenterThe branch library has been in the planning stages for many years, during which the three neighborhoods were served bv the Library Bookmobile. The project received final approval in 1973 for opening in 1974.The building was built by the owners of the Meadowood Shopping Center and the Midland Development Corp. and its president, David VV. Crocker, for lease to thecity.The open house is sponsored by the Meadowood Community Club, the Orchard Ridge Assn., and the Greentree Community Club.The branch library’s hours will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.— State Journal Photo
