POINT ARENA, Jan. 24. (Special)—Mrs. Maria Lee was hostess to a group of friends at a house warming given at the Garfield Iverson homo at Manchester Tuesday evening. For many years the Iver-sens lived in Point Arena, just recently moving to Manchester on. the Kendall place. Fred Patton was toastmaster of the evening and directed the activities which kept the group in a jovial mood. A beautiful floor lamp was presented to the guests of honor by Mr. Patton, from the assembled guests. Songs, recitations and dancing were enjoyed until a late hour. Among those present were: Mrs. Maria Lee, hostess, Messrs. and Mcsdames Erne Titus, K. Leighton, Fred Fallon, Spence Withrow, John Schlac-ter, Alonzo Kendall, Fred Sea l amella, Ro. Giacominl, Ed Gordon. W. Iverson, Sheridan Archer, Conrad Dahl; Misses Annie Bassi, Minnie Cremonini, Mabel Newcomb; Messrs. Charles Scaramclla, Tom Poncetta, Walter Huffman, George Cueiello.The Fortnightly club held its meeting at the home of Mrs. Ed Kimos of Manchester Wednesday afternoon. The prizes went to Mrs. Elba Gordon, first; Mrs. Bill Smith, second; Mrs. Ernie Titus, third; Mrs. Frank O'Brien, consolation.Ten families have, moved to Rock port from Greenwood to work in the lumber mill to be operated there. Among those who are leaving Greenwood arc William Lawson Jr. and family and James Moyl-es.One of the Coast Line freight stages was stalled in Manchester. After working all afternoon, the driver summoned another truck and proceeded on his way to San Francisco.Mr. and Mrs. Harry Weimor of Oakland are hack in Gualala for the fishing season. Mr. and Mrs. Wcimer have been coming to the coast for the past ten years to enjoy the fishing.Alfred Bishop was given the contract to haul back to Oakland the airplane which was badly injured in the wind storm last Saturday night. The plane was turned over by the force of the gale.The hotels and cabins are filled each week end with visiting fishermen.Mr. and Mrs. Leland Frensol are here visiting old friends. They had a picture studio in Point, Arena about 10 years ago.
