The Delphi Journal has been in their family since they were marriedMr. Kennedy was born in Rock Creek township, two miles east of Rockfield. on November 23. 1857. the son of James M. and Jane (Brown) Kennedy, who settled there in the early years. He attended the Cree school near there. He joined the Odd Fellows lodge in 1879, eleven years after Its organisation In that city. He has been promoted through all the offices.Mrs. Kennedy was born three miles east of Delphi on August 2nd. 1863. the daughter of Jacob and Emellne (Itskln) Wlngard. Her grandfather. Samuel Wingard. was one of the early settlers. Her education was giyen her at the Sharp Point school on the Camden-Delphi road. ; .Except for seventeen months spent in Wichita. Kansas, they have resided in Rock Creek township their entire life. Both are members of the Rock-flled Presbyterian church.Their children are: Roy Kennedy. Insurance agent of Lafayette; Mrs. Nola Finney, of Flora; James Kennedy, of Flora; Mrs. Arvel Flora, of Flora; Mrs. Russell Logan of Rockfield, and J. R.
