AGED VETERAN IS CLAIMED BY DEATH .......James Burdiss, Union Soldier, Dies In Dayton HomeFuneral services for James Burdiss, 89 years old, for many years a native of Keck ley, who died in a government home for! aged soldiers at Dayton, Ohio, on. Monday will he held at the Catholic Church here this morning an nine o’clock. Burial, with Foster Undertakers in charge, will he made in the Catholic cemetery.Mr. Burdiss, a native of J ng-j land, had resided in Kaleigh county since 1894. He went to Day-j ton about a month ago. Until prevented by failing health, lie had been employed as a miner in this section.He leaves three sons and one daughter; J. H. Burdiss, of Hockley; Ceorge Burdiss, of Van wood; Edward Burdiss, of Ajax; and Mrs. L. K. Spencer, of Columbus. Ohio, One brother, George Burdiss, resides at Jacksonville, Ohio. His wife died 16 years ago.
