Fiftieth AnniversaryFeted At WoonsocketWOONSOCKET, Jan. 24. (Special) -Mr. and Mrs. Xavier Veilleux observed their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, January 21, bv entertaining thirty-five relatives at six o’clock dinner at their farm home, one mile from Woonsocket.iMr. nad Mrs. Villeux were both boin at St. Rosalie, Province of Quebec, Can-ad i, 73 and 67 years ago. respectively. They were married in Jefferson, S. D.,j in 1883 and moved on their homestead' at Salix, Iowa, where they Lived fortwenty-ihre years. Here their six children were born. In 1905 they moved to Woonsocket, and have lived there for the past twenty-seven years on their farm ]near town.Thcdr six children are living and v.ere all present at the golden wedding. They j lt;are A. G. Veilleux of Arlington, Washington; Mrs. Ida Comeau of South Siotix City, Neb.; Mrs. Adeline Frink of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mrs. Emma McCoy, A1 fred and Corinne of Woonsocket. Twelve of their twenty-two grandchildren were present, as well as two of their great- ! ]grandchildren. j tMrs. Veiiieux’s brother, Paul Charfier,and her sister, Mrs. Alex Duhaime, best man and bride s maid at the 1883 wedding, were both present at the reception and dinner on Saturday, as was also Mr. Villeux's brother, who was withthem fifty years ago.The occasion was also the ninth wedding annivrsary of their eldest grandchild, Mrs. Clarence Hansen. The youngest grandchild, Jimmy Frink, age two,of Sioux City, was present.Sunday at 8.30, mass was said for their intention and a sermon given bv their pastor Father Edwards of St. Wilfred 3 parish. During the day, they held openhouse and served refreshments to a large number of their friends.iraI1racC
